Professor V lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. TSH 6.43 mU/L is considered as sub-clinical hypothyroidism. No treatment is advocated at this level. Another important aspect is at the age of 76 years, a slightly higher TSH actually is considered good enough. SO there is no need for any treatment. You may check the TSH levels once in six months or so to see if there is any further increase. Thanks.
