My right hand 5th metacarpal bone got fractured on may 10th got visited doctor orthopedic doctor after 10 days he applied ball bandage +given medicine for 20 days. After 20 days doctor removed ball bandage, and said healed the fracture. Recommended to visit after 15 days with medication Even after healing my hand still deformed. When I visit doctor examined my hand said it was not properly applied ball bandage due to this it was not healed correctly. Bone healed cross. If to correct this to be carried to be surgery. I want to get it correct what to do. Is it right to get it correct by surgery or not?

Lybrate-user ji. It will difficult to comment on this without seeing X-rays. Also decision of surgery will based on if you have any pain and functional deficit (ie How much your hand is bothering you in day to day activities). Metacarpal fractures even if they unite with some angulation usually do not give functional problems.
