I am 24 years old female and in a recent Pre-conception visit my doctor asked me to do TSH test. My TSH level is 7.503. She now prescribed Thyronorm 25 mcg for 2 months. For conceiving my TSH level should be 0.1 - 2.5. So, if I use thyronorm 25 mcg for 2 months. Will my TSH level come down to 2.5? If not how many days may it take?

Lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. To reduce TSH down to 2 mU/l and maintain at that level, yu may need a higher dose of thyroxine. With 25 mcg dosage please check TSH after 6 weeks, then if desired level is not achieved, then increase to 37.5 mcg or 50 mcg. Thanks.
