My diabetic range is fasting 139, after meal 161 is it pre diabetic or diabetic? Can pre diabetic be reversed?

Hello, Thanks for the query. Diabetes is diagnosed in the following manner: Fasting glucose: 126 mg and above, PP: 200 mg and above & HbA1c% 6.5% and above. Based on these criteria your fasting shows there is diabetes. HbA1c% is not mentioned. Pre-diabetes is decided on: FBG:101 to 125 mg, PP: 141 to 199 mg & HbA1c% 5.7 to 6.4. Pre-diabetes can be reversed or one can postpone developing of diabetes by regular exercise, weight control and restricted diet intake. It is better if you get HbA1c% done or get an OGTT, that will clarify. Thanks.
