My nose is always blocked one-way. What is the treatment for this. When I use otrivin spray then it cures the nose in while but I don't want to use these medicines and spray. Because these cause many side affects. Please suggest me asap. Thank you.

Dear Lybrateuser, -Get x- ray Paranasal sinuses done to rule out any problem like a polyp or a deviated nasal septum or a sinus infection leading to your blockage of one side nose, can be due to allergy also - avoid regular use of any drops like otrivin for more than 2-3 days as it can weaken the mucosa of the nose leading to chronic infection - do steam inhalation 2-3 times a day - instill normal saline nasal drops 3 drops thrice a day in the nostril - consult an ent specialist.
