I was suffering from interstitial TB. Att was started from 29/10//2017. Now I am going to complete 9 months of my tb medicine. I went though usg on 22/07/2018, where it was detected the enlarged lymph nodes which was present during start of the medicines is not visible in usg currently. I went to 3 doctor for consultation with this new usg and all previous test reports. 3 of them gave me different suggestions. One doctor who was a tb specialist told me that I should have stopped the medicine on completion of 6 months. The general physician told me that I should stop taking medicine after completing 9 months. Where as one gastroenterologist told me to continue R cinex (450/300) till 12 th months. I am in confusion whom to follow. According to the guidelines of who what should be the duration of tb in lymph nodes? Please give me your valuable advise?

According to the normal guidelines of TB control, 9 months of DOTS is only needed from a govt hospital or authorised TB center Six-month regimens are probably as good as nine-month regimens in terms of numbers of people cured. We found no evidence to suggest that six-month regimens are less safe for gastrointestinal and peritoneal TB than nine-month regimens, but we still do not know whether there is a difference in risk of relapse between the two regimens.
