PSA stands for prostate specific antigen. There are several reasons that increase PSA levels. Enlargement of prostate gland, urine infection can also increase the levels. In an elderly patient we have to rule out these reasons and also do a detailed assessment. Please consult urologist asap for further assessment/ examination of prostrate.
