Doctor thanks for your prompt response I am diabetic for the last 20 year's earlier it was under control, all of a sudden I taught of doing my hba1c test. My fasting level is 280 _ post lunch after 2 hours is 325 I take human actrapid I had a episode of blood clot had pulmonary embolism 10 years ago in blood thinners since then. Many health issues I have do advice some remedy so that my hba1c comes under control.

Actrapid alone once daily is not the right Insulin for your condition. Actrapid acts for only 8 hours and instead of Actraid, Mixtard 50/50 twice daily is more suited for you. Go to a nearby general physician and he would start you on Mixtard 50/50. Start with 28U 30 min before breakfast and 24U 30 min before dinner. And adjust the dose accordingly and the right dose would be understood in few days.
