Hi, my right eye becomes reddish in the cornea area if I sleep less than 6 hours. Normally for others both eyes become red but I get this issue in the right side only. Also the condition persists even after good sleep the next day or after that for 2-3 days. I am working night shift (rotational) for the past 2 years. This occurs once or twice in four months as working in night shift I have less sleep most of the days and my eyes are fine (though tired). I have checked symptoms online and it says hypoxia and few suggest corneal neovascularization. Please help.

If one sided it is either likely due to trauma or excessive rubbing of that particular eye or heavy lifting like weight lifting. Bilateral redness is due to allergies or dryness of eyes though rarely it may affect one side. FOR MEDICAITON CONSULT IN PRIVATE.
