Sir, my dad aged 79 yrs, suffered from TIA on 18 june, he is having sinus bradycardia with RT carotid artery plaque with TIA with BPH .He is taking these medicines right now Tab. clopitab A 75/75-OD, Tab. Orcibest 10 mg 1/2 TDS, Tab.Candace-h 2.5 OD, Tab U-speed 0.4 mg,Tab Nitrolong 2.6 BD, Tab. Etek plus OD, Tab.Sorbitrate 5 mg SOS. His holter monitoring was done which showed average heart rate 53bpm during the day, 49 bpm at night and 51bpm over complete recording. Maximum heart rate was 76 bpm at 13: 12:52, minimum heart rate was 39bpm at 23: 09:29, the standard deviation overall normal beats wad109. 0.In total 73985 beats were found which 1 were classified as ventricular beats. Kindly suggest what to do.

Did he suffer loss of consciousness at any time. If so, then we may do electrophysiology study in Cath Lab and consider pacemaker if results are abnormal. I assume the carotid artery narrowing is not significant and does not merit angioplasty. He needs treatment with aspirin, clopidogrel and statins. Avoid beta blockers. Might need Pacemaker in future. Regards.
