I am 65 years old and having diabetes 250-350 from past 15 days. Even After having all medications and diabetic diet, it reduces to very minimal level say 20 or 25. What should I do?

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. From your description nothing is clear to me at all. It is better if you give following details: Fasting glucose, PP glucose, HbA1c%, drugs being taken with dosage, extent of daily exercise, present dietary details. Unless all those details are given there is no way to understand the situation. Another important aspect is your excessive obesity (almost grade 3) with a BMI of 39.38 kgs/M2 (normal < 23 kgs/M2) Thanks.

Follow healthy diet, & add daily 45 min Walk or 10,000 step with the help of pedometer. But before that go for some organic supplements which boost your immune system, bcaz it's very important that sudden fluctuations may start your sugar medication which is not good. So go green. Hi lybrate-user, As a Fitness Nutritionist my advice is to check your dietary recall for the day. I would advise you to replace rice or rice products with brown rice, red rice, dalia or jowar or bajra or wheat rotis. Also add low fat proteins to the diet such as skim curd, skim paneer or egg whites, Add good fats such as almonds and walnuts as in between fillers. Eat at regular intervals and eat small meals. To help you analyse your dietary recall or simplify the diet, feel free to get in touch.
