My husband is 32 years he is a diabetic person what diet should I give to him. What all things I can give eg:- can I give hi daal urad dal, sabootdan or not.

Specific diet to be recommended will require all the following information: Fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, weight, height, extent of daily exercise, present diet and drugs with dosage. Generally one should avoid sweets, junk foods, pastries, bakery items, foods made from maida and colas as well as juices. Should use whole grain flour for chapati and roti. Increase the intake of fiber containing foods. Increase intake of green leafy vegetables and salads. All dals are fine. But shabudana is not good. Thanks.
