My son who is 6 year old now got very hot water poured on his body accidentally. The burn was quiet serious from chest to tummy. And post healing doctor recommended mederma. It's now a year and still the marks are visible .Since he is young there must be something to make the scars disappear. Kindly suggest .What should be used and how many times? Thank you.

When burns are deeper, the marks are bound to remain. When one has marks and scars post healing ,that means the burns were deeper. Continue to apply moisturizer cream on. The scars tend to become lighter as the child grows.
