Hi, Why does every laparoscopic surgery patient need to be intubated with general anesthesia I am going to have morcellation to have a man removed on friday since my airway is so little every time I wake up from surgery my throat hurts really bad.

It is Must to do laparoscopic surgery under general anasthesia, because in lap surg gas is insuffulated in the abdomen and movements of diaphragm are compromised. To avoid throat itching you can do steam inhalation and saline gargles on the next day of surgery.
