My mother aged 65 yrs has swelling in both legs. But there is no pain in it. Whats the problem and which medical she should take?

Hello sir, hope your mother is doing well. She is diabetic, apart from that does she have hypertension. Change in the medication can help her in reducing the swelling, consult her diabetologist regarding that. You can help her by encouraging her to move her ankle up & down, in & out and rotation clockwise & anticlockwise. Also, propping her leg by putting 2-3 pillow under the heel when she is lying flat on her back can help. Do this 2-3 time for 30 min each, or as convenient for her.
