How long does it take for Chronic Antral Gastritis to heal? Its been 2 months since my diagnosis by OGD and 6 weeks since H.Pylori treatment (even though it was negative on biopsy but my Gastro said it could be sampling error). There is also Intestinal Metaplasia (Pre-Pyloric region) confirmed by biopsy. I am on PPIs but the appetite and digestion is still very poor and I am continuing to lose weight (5% body weight in 2 months). A series of blood tests and CT Abdomen also came in negative. Any advice as to the prognosis and possible differential diagnosis I should pursue, is much appreciated.
