I am 52 years old male. Do regular gym including weight training 5 days a week. My weight is perfect with my BMC. However 6 months back when I was taking heavy weight my Bp went to little higher side. One evening it went up to 180/120. Consulted the doctor and he advised stamlo 5 mg which was reduced to 2.5 due toUneasiness. Recently I did my full body check up and I found all parameters are normal. ECG TMT etc. Are normal. Cholesterol level are Very well maintained. Kindly advise if I stop taking stamlo 2.5 mg or take it on alternate days.

Once you have started anti hypertensive medicine, that means you need that medicine to be continued. One dose is giving you coverage of 24 hrs. So it's not advisable to go for alternate day. Be happy that in the age of 52 also you are managing your BP by 2.5 mg tab.
