24 female 5'5" 46 kg. I was under aldactone and glycomet for the past two years for pcos hair growth. Now I would like to take contraceptive pills as an extra safety measures along side condoms. Is there any problems associated with it. If not which type of pills should I go for?

Hi lybrate-user What I am getting from your history is that you are having PCOS along with hair growth. If periods are regular and normal then aldactone and glycomet might have been started. If you are not planning pregnancy then you can consult your gynaecologist who might advise you to start pills which contain estrogen with anti androgenic progesterone. Let your gynaecologist make an assessment and prescribe. Your overall assessment and few blood tests help in deciding these medicines Hope this works for you. Wish you luck.
