I had hernia surgery, with mesh, 70 days back, but till now I have discomfort, pinch and burning sensation at the hernia area. Some times muscles get cramps and can't even move. 30 days back an ultrasound was done and found to be normal. Why this burning sensation always and why these muscle cramps. Can this be avoided by doing something like medicines or avoiding any movements. Is this normal after hernia surgery or any concerns?

Hello dear Lybrate user, Warm welcome to Lybrate.com I have evaluated your query thoroughly. At 70 days of hernia surgery this is not normal. Normal sonography does not mean you have no problem this is in relation with possible nerve compression under mesh or any stitch inside. Take a second opinion of an expert surgeron rather than consulting the same person who had done surgery Hope this clears your query. Wishing you fine recovery. Welcome for any further assistance at my private URL https://www.Lybrate.com/gandhinagar/doctor/dr-bhagyesh-patel-general-surgeon Regards take care. Dr.Bhagyesh (MS, FMAS - consultant surgeon)
