I have pain in my left shoulder, radiating to the upper arm, specially when moving it up and back. I consulted an orthopedic and the MRI was done. Swelling was detected and the degeneration on the bone due to age. I stopped having milk and milk products a year back because of intolerance to it. Could that be the reason? Lack of calcium in the diet? I am a vegetarian and I don't eat eggs. Is there any other good source of calcium which I can take? Or milk is the only source of calcium for vegetarians?

As the age advances, deficiency of calcium may cause such type of problems. Milk is rich in calcium so you can start drinking it but if you can't tolerate then there are calcium supplement available in market, you can take them daily once at morning after breakfast (for better results take them with little amount of milk.
