My son suffered from Astigmatism. I have taken advice from Cornea Specialist doctors. The opinions are differ from doctor to doctor. Some doctors said collagen cross linking is required but some said documented evidence of ectasia progression is to be established within 3 month. If it is ectasia then only we should perform C3r or CXL otherwise it may result in complications. The corneal thickness of one eye is 393 .and other 420 microns. Now we are dilemma whether cross linking is required or not and what will happen if we do cross linking even if it is not required. Further we understand trans-epithelial C3 R is not effective hence no one is doing the same in india, Whether Epithelium c3 r is not effective?

Cross Linking is required if the patient has documented progressing Keratoconus. For this topography and refraction has to be repeated to see if there is progression.
