It is the expression of "GENES" that decide when and how tall you will grow. Your genes determine no less than 80 per cent of your height and new research shows that the combination of for male ,their height can increase till 21-25 years (max) approx but for females it is 18 years approx. Age is not only factor ,some people grow taller before 18 and some after. Proper diet, proper sleep and exercise plays more important role than age.
