Hello, Thanks for the query. Fasting glucose 298 mg is definitely too high. That means after food glucose will go over 350 to 400 mg. This is a totally uncontrolled situation and an invitation for serious complications of diabetes. If you are serious please come back with following details: current fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, diet pattern (in detail), extent of daily exercise, weight, height, lipid profile and drugs with dosage, in a private conversation (paid consultation). Then I will be able to guide specifically and also prescribe necessary medications if required. In this communication we are supposed to give general guidelines like what food one has to take, how much exercise one needs to do, etc, Or else please get in touch with a competent diabetologist locally and follow his/her instructions meticulously. Excess blood glucose is an invitation for precipitation of some of the serious long term complications of diabetes involving eyes, peripheral nerves, lower limbs heart etc. Choice is yours. Thanks.
