I am 6 weeks pregnant through ivf. Before starting ivf my tsh level was 5. 5 and sugar was 88. But after 6 week pregnancy tsh is 17.5 and blood sugar is 108. I have a lot of ivf medicines nowadays. I am taking eltroxin 125 already. Totally confused. Please advise.

Consult your gynaecologist ,your elthroxin dose will have to be increased. Get your fasting and PP blood sugar levels done. Take a carbohydrate and fat restricted diet ,don't take sugar in any form. Continue with medicines as advised by your gynaecologist.

TSH levels ideally should be maintained below 2.5 during 1st trimester of pregnancy. So your Eltroxin dose should be modified. Also get an anti TPO antibodies done. For blood sugras a Glucose challenge test with 75 gm glucose is more sensitive than a fasting or random sample. Do its better to get that done. Repeat a TSH and FT4 done 4 weeks after Eltroxin dose change.
