Since a month (after I had over the counter antibiotics) my lips got black spots and gradually turned dry flaky and black. After a few tests which turned out normal- (like ACTH and sodium magnesium levels etc the only anomaly was- 0.2 level high red blood cell width and 0.2 unit less of mean corpuscular volume.)). My Dermatologist said that the black colored lining on my lips is a condition called "Lichen Planus" He said it takes 2 years to go away naturally and has asked me to avoid all sorts of cosmetics and has given a cream to apply on lips. I am extremely worried as my lips have turned black and it is embarrassing to go out like this. Is there any other course of action that can be taken?
