My total cholesterol was 240 with hdl 25 ldl 160 and tri 220. My doctor advised me me take rosulip f 10 for 10 days after which total cholesterol came down to 157 with hdl 29 ldl 100 and tri 120. Now my doctor advised my take this medicine on alternate day for a month. After that test to be done again. Seek your opinion on this, can I leave the medicine after this course or need to on pil permanently. My height is 5'7' Weight 169 I did not find any problem due to high cholesterol yet. Please suggest.

Hello According to your ht. And wt. You come under obese category. As per your current reports your HDL level was low and that is the good cholesterol. You need to loose your weight and need to increase your HDL level. For that you need to start taking overnight soaked almonds and walnuts. Include flax seeds in your diet. And start using oilve oil or mustard oil. Start avoiding fatty meats, fried foods, full fat dairy products, start doing some physical activity.
