I had been diagnosed with DVT of upper extremity in october (thrombosis of subclavian axillary and Brachial vein). Symptoms - reddening of arm pain from lower neck extending to arm. Pricky feeling etc I was treated with clexane for 14 days and thereafter continued taking eliquis 5 mg twice a day. The symptoms reappeared after 3 months when the test was re performed it was said "Thrombosis involving distal part of the sub clavian extending into the axillary vein with maximum component of thrombus being in the axillary vein" + positive for Factor V leiden no additional medicine was suggested Now again after 3 months the symptoms have reappeared This time I feel like my arm is being pricked + pain in the chest should I continue with the same medicines or different ones or opt for a surgery or any other suggestions Also which doctor would be better hematologist or a vascular surgeon.
