Hi, I have medically aborted due to open neural tube defect on mar 3rd and I got my first cycle by apr 7.I started taking fol123 before two weeks. Now we are in thought of planning for next baby so Need to know whether it's safe to get pregnant again and also need to know whether reoccurence will be there for it? When I check before 2 days my urine test send it positive and blood test says notdetectable. So I'm so confused now.

Open neural tube defect can repeat in pregnancies. U need to do your 3rd month NT scan as well as dual marker to be sure. Hcg blood test is more reliable then the urine test. If you have missed your periods do a blood test again after 1 week.
