Recently I hv done my CBC report. RBC is 5.38,hemoglobin 15.2,WBC is 9.4, platelets 154000 all r in normal range. But at the end of the report there is note platelets appear to be adequate on smear. Giant platelets noticed Note: Platelets decrease a lot on keeping sample should be sent to the laboratory as soon as possible. Low platelet count should be interpreted in correlation with the clinical picture of the patient. What does it mean? What I hv to do now?
