Dear lybrateuser, - Your problem could be due to a condition known as postural hypotension, that is the BP falls when you are rising from a sleeping or sitting position, normally there is a reflex mechanism of the body which copes with the change in posture & does not allow the bp to fall so that you feel dizzy - when you get from sleep lye in bed for 3-4 min, then slowly get up & sit for 4-5 min& then stand up so that the body has sometime to adjust to the change in posture & bp does not fall to a level that you feel dizzy - have plenty of oral fluids - avoid alcohol if you take - take vitamin supplements - do regular exercise like walking - monitor blood pressure - if not much improvement then get investigations done, blood hemoglobin, blood sugar, ECG, echocardiogram, tmt, to rule out anemia, blood sugar problem or any heart problem.
