I was diagnosed for hypothyroidism recently with a Tsh of 6.75, T3 and T4 being 137 and 11.3 respectively. The doctor prescribed Eltroxin 25 mcg. I wouldn't know how this thing works. He asked me to consume one pill a day for 100 days after which I'll have to go for another blood test. I felt a little uncomfortable when I took the first pill but I somehow managed. The second day was a nightmare. In the late evening I began to experience loose stools, stomach bloat, palpitations, sweating, thirst and what not. I felt like I was being poisoned. So I never took the pill the next day. I seem to be alright now but the doctor advised me to continue it after a span of ten days. He says the pill has no side effects. I can't believe it. I see a lot of people complain of the same effects of Eltroxin online. Does it occur initially or does it occur due to variation in dosage? My doctor isn't explaining. Please help!
