In my clinical report for biopsy doctor did not mention my history of tobacco chewing and smoking. He wrote of chronic cheek bite due to wisdom tooth since 2 years. Will it impact my biopsy report. My biopsy report as hyperplastic squamous epithelium with no dysplasia and malignancy seen. Pls also tell me the treatment for the same. have stopped eating tobacco and smoking. Will it regress. Is it pre cancer.

Dear Lybrate user, as per report it is not yet precancerous. Stopping all form of tobacco use is necessary to prevent it from progressing. Get a dentist onsult, you need to correct the wisdom tooth causing cheek bite.

Stopping TOBACCO and smoking is the real treatment. Also remove any source of chronic trauma like tooth. Please get your condition followed up after every four months.
