I am having acne since last 2 years and only it occurs on the forehead but from since 5-6 months it started all over the face and it not going every second day a new pimple comes which looks very bad my whole face is with pimples please tell something whats the problem.

Hello Lybrate user, Acne is a skin condition in which there is excess production of oil from the sebaceous glands leading to the blockage of hair follicles. It is the most common problem of adolescents, and is therefore known as Yauvanpidika in Ayurveda; yauvan means ?adolescence? and pidika means ?pustules or papules?. Acne usually affects the face, back and shoulders and other areas that are densely populated with sebaceous glands. Acne presents either as blackheads, whiteheads, pimples or nodules. 1-Some of the general reasons for acne development include: Oily skin Dead skin cells Clogged pore Bacteria/ Infection 2-Diet & Lifestyle Advice - Avoid spicy, oily and sour foods. - Eat fresh, unprocessed food. - Increase the use of herbs that have cooling effects on the body like fennel, coriander seeds, Indian gooseberry (amla) and aloe vera. - Increase intake of water to about 8-10 glasses per day. - Wash your face frequently with mild herbal soaps. - Avoid irritant cosmetics. - Do not squeeze the acne lesions. - Do regular exercise Yoga or Breathing practices. - Avoid stress. - Take complete rest.-Change your lifestyle. -Drink lukewarm water on empty stomach in morning. -Drink vegetables juices. 3- Some home remedies:-Papaya is a great Ayurvedic remedy for acne and pimples. Wash your face, pat dry and apply papaya paste on your face. Leave the mask on for 20-20 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Repeat daily. -Triphala is a popular Ayurvedic remedy for skin. It balances the tridosha (vata, pitta and kapha), detoxifies the whole body, fights against bad bacteria and helps in your acne healing. Take 1 tsp. Of triphala with hot water on empty stomach every morning. -Turmeric is an antibacterial and anti-fungal Ayurvedic remedy to prevent bacterial breakouts and pimples. It is also anti-allergic and cleanse toxins from the pores. Make a paste of turmeric powder with water and apply on the skin. Once dry, rinse off and pat dry. You can replace water with honey for dry skin. -Prepare a powdered mixture of coriander seeds, fennel, basil, turmeric and Indian gooseberry (amla) in equal parts. Take � teaspoon of this powder 15 minutes before lunch and dinner. -Have 1 teaspoon of powdered Indian gooseberry fruit (amla) in morning and evening with water. -Take one teaspoon of coriander juice mixed with a pinch of turmeric powder. Drink twice daily.
