Hello Lybrate user. Avoid oilly spicy fast food, red meat as far as possible. Take fruits and vegetables more and more. Don't skip breakfast. Don't take stomach full meals at a time. Eat proteinaceous diet more and more and reduce intake of amount of carbohydrates substances including sweet fruits and potatoes like vegetables. Eat 4 to 5 times a day. Take bread at night instead of rice. Always walk 1 km after having meal. You should do some household work and morning evening walk. Don't go for fasting. Don't remain in empty stomach for more time. Do not go to bed immediately after food. You shouldn't cut down intake of food much otherwise you glucose levels will fall. Which may be dangerous sometimes. Diabetic person should avoid sugar, jaggery,honey, sweets,seeet fruits like banana, mangoes,cheekoo, grapes etc. Should take small frequent meals instead of large ones at regular intervals. Avoid weight gain and if high reduce it to normal for your height.
