Hi, I am 24 years old. When I was 14, I had undergone Tympanoplasty surgery in my left ear due to infection. I also had hearing loss due to infection. The doctor said after the surgery, the hearing will improve to an extend. But in my case it has not improved even though my infection in my left ear did not occurred again. Was this due to imperfection in my surgery or the hearing improvement is limited even after the surgery?

In your pre-surgical test audiometry is a must so as to know the status before surgery and post surgical follow up audiometry are recommended to track the post surgical improvement. So get your hearing test done now to know the further management.
