Dear Lybrateuser, - To control & lower your bp reduce anxiety & stress - do regular walking for 20-30 min daily, do yoga, meditation & deep breathing which helps keep your mind & body relaxed which will help avoid the transient rise in bp - also if it rises before some event or particular time then prepare yourself for the occasion so that anxiety doesn't set in.

Measure BP only once every year on fixed dates after resting for ten minutes. High BP during exertion and anxiety is normal, don't imagine it is abnormal.
