Hello Lybrate User, Knee joint Tears in Cartilage may heal with Medicines only If you Immobilize your knee with the help of Cast (as done in case of fractures) for many weeks. As knees bear weight of whole of the body, and also are used in walking, sitting, standing, etc. They will not get time to heal up properly. Also, there is risk of increase of tears and dislocation of joint, So, in your case, it is advisable to go for Surgical fixation of cartilages. All the best.
