Please treat your thyroid problem correctly Get to know the correct tests to do as well as the treatment protocols. First of all, Fibrocystic disease is benign (non cancerous) disease of breast. Hence, not harmful. There is no direct correlation between Fibrocystic disease and cancer. But if there is increase in size of lump or skin reddening over lump or axillary swelling, please show to Oncologist. Â

Fibrocystic disease does not lead to cancer. It is seen in premenopausal women. Can lead to painful mastalgia, which is usually cyclical. May need aspiration of the cysts is significantly enlarged and painful. However, if can cause difficulty in detecting cancers on mammogram as cancers can get obscured because of the whitish appearance of both on mammogram. Â
