What is the hiv windowperiod. No one doctor say exact windowperiod some doctor say 6 months, some doctor say up to 10 years. One doctor say hiv lay dormant many years can't detect any type of hiv test it is true. I am not sexually active, unprotected vaginal sex Only one incident 9 months later found she is hiv positive. 16 months post exposure hiv rna pcr qualitative, westrenblot ,elisa ,4degeneration test ,tridot all are negative. Elisa for hiv and total std panel all are negative. Any further test needed. I am 100 % negative. I am worrying sky ride pls give me clear answer sir.

For different test different window period shortest window period is 17 days for that you have to go for HIV 1 proviral DNA test mediam is 3 month that is for HIV DUO test longest antibody test that is 6 month this is full and final.
