I have read in many articles that baking soda reduces damages in CKD patients and progression and delayed dialysis. How far is it true? Is there any scientific reason? If yes how much should have?

Baking soda helps in reducing acidosis and slowing disease progression, however it is taken under doctor supervision as this also may cause fluid overload and cardiac complication.
