Hello lybrate-user Like being over weight being under weight is also bad. To increase weight in a good way your calorie intake should be more than your calorie expenditure. Try these simple steps like- 1.Eat frequent high carbohydrates n fat rich food, add an additional high calorie meal in your routine specially for near bed time. 2.do not drink water before meals, other wise you won't be able to eat more. 3.drink whole fat milk when you feel thirsty n add cream to your coffee n tea. 4. There are many high quality weight gainer shakes available in the market, you can try those. 5. Always s choose a big platter to eat n order. 6. Try to finish your carbs rich n fat rich food first in your plate n then eat your salad n other veggies, 7. Try to join a gym or add some sort of weight training exercise in your routine, it will help you gaining muscles which are heavier than the fat mass. 8. Add proteins to your meals like - chicken, fish,whole eggs, legumes n pulses n dry fruits with milk n milk products. Hope you can do these little easy amendments in your hostel too. Best wishes.
