I am 62 years old and feel I should as a precautionary measure take B12 since I am vegetarian. What should be the dosage and strength of the tabs?

It is better to get a B12 test done and based on its results you can take the next step. You can get B12 from Milk and milk products, so you need not worry if you are a vegetarian.
