Hi, I have been watching news and blogs on the Aashirvaad Aata which says that Aashirvad flour is plastic-flour. So I want to know that is it true or just a defamation technique?

The way things are being shown in the news we can just say that this is the property of the flour when kneaded into a dough as it contains gluten. Gluten is a type of a protein found in wheat flour and gluten only gets activated when it comes in contact with water and then it produces a stretching property, so when you need the dough it stretches due to the gluten present in it.

Hi, those videos are just to defame the ITC company. They have tested the atta in the lab and the report says it doesn't have any plastic flour in it. The stretching of the atta dough is due to the protein gluten in it.

There are so many fake news coming regarding presence of plastic in Aashirwad atta. We are also hearing different arguments on the same. You may get confused with all these news. So it is better to clarify yourself. Go to any food lab near to you with two sample one should be pure wheat flour (you can ground it in your home) and another from Aashirwad atta packet. And ask them to do the test for the presence of plastic and quantity of gluten. Already the central food lab done the clarification and they found only gluten in it. Gluten is a wheat protein and it will shows elasticity after mixing with water due to polymerization.

Sadly, but it is true what all we come across social media today are not always true. So what to do. Judge yourself. What is atta or maida, to judge its quality the most common thing is to see that the dough can be made out of it. Stop and ask yourself does plastic mix with water to give a perfect dough, and trust me to let mix plastic with atta is anyway possible or not that is itself doubtful. Use your common sense and judge yourself!
