Hi Doctor, After a sexual exposure, following are the various HIV test done by me till date. - 38 days - Western Blot - Negative (Thyrocare) - 52 days - HIV-I and II ELISA - Negative (Thyrocare) - 78 days - HIV-I and II ELISA - Negative (Thyrocare) - 82 days - HIV-1 RNA PCR - Not detected (Thyrocare) - 88 days - Western Blot + CMIA - Not detected (Dr. Lal Path Labs) - 144 days - Western Blot + CMIA - Not detected (Dr. Lal Path Labs) Are results conclusive? Can I say that I am HIV negative? Furthermore. - Do I need to undergo HIV-2 test? - Does my Western blot and (ag+ab) test exclude the possibility of HIV-2 infection as well? - Also I have ordered all these tests via Practo who has tied up with Droplet and LabforSure for home collection. They showed me that the needle was sealed and packed. I believe that is true. However feeling feared due to a recent quackery in Unnao district that came in the news. - Do I need to undergo any further test? Is post 6 month test required?
