I feel pain on one side when put pressure for eating on right side. There is cavity also in last tooth. I consulted Oral surgeon. He has told problem in TMD OR TMJ joint. He suggested one exercise and advised NOT to open mouth very much. What is the cause for this and precautions and cure. My age is 62.

Please follow suggested advise. TMJ dislocation is common in older ages because of muscle loosening. You should care about mouth opening. Avoid wide opning of mouth. Take muscle relaxant along with so pain subside.

As per your discription may it is mpds (one type of tmj problem, so follow instructions and regular follow up with your dentist. If you have doubts about pain which might be due to cavity then openly discuss with your Dr. he/she will surely clear your doubts.
