I am recently diagnosed with 18 mm stone in gallbladder. How early should I go for operation? How much big 18 mm stone? Can you please suggest me what to eat and not to eat before this operation? My age is 31 and weight is 56 and height is 5 ft. I also have hypothyroidism. Please give me a chart of food that I can take. I am from Assam and here the main dish is white rice.

The size of the stone is definitely large. Ypu should plan for the surgery early but it is not an emergency. Roughly in a month please think of getting it operated. Please avoid oily and spicy foods in your diet. Otherwise no specific diet restrictions. The surgery is done laparoscopically and is a very simple and safe surgery with very min pain and fast recovery and after surgery no post operative problems.
