My girl baby is 22 days old. She is not sleeping properly from past 4 days. My doctor says the girl baby is fine. She drinks milk good quantity of around 30 to 50 ml of milk for every 3 hours. But when it comes to sleep she cries very very badly. I tried making her sleep in all possible ways, but she sleeps after a struggle of 3 to 4 hours. And that too she doesn't have a deep sleep. Keeps on shivering continuously all through the sleep time. I am worried about this. Please suggest me on this.

If child sleeps in daytime time her sleep cycle is different from yours. If she does not sleep even during day time, then it may be matter of concern. Feed the baby more frequently like every 2-3 hours. And ensure proper attachment of breast of mother and lips of baby as improper attachment may cause air ingestion causing bloating. Another cause may be colic. You may try medicine named colicaid drop (Meyer) 3-5 drops 4-5 times 10 minutes before feed. If above advise does not work. Then please meet a child specialist.
