My father had his endoscopy done and the result was reflux disease, ulcer and rut positive. Does rut +ve indicate hpylori infection? He shares food and tea etc with children. Can hpylori be transmitted to them? If yes, what is the mode of diagnosis and treatment?

Rut / Rapid urease test, also known as the CLO test (Campylobacter-like organism test), is a rapid diagnostic test for diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori. The basis of the test is the ability of H. Pylori to secrete the urease enzyme. He cannot transmit infection to children.
