My elder brother (28 year old) had a psychotic episode 1.5 years before, due to family issues. He had been treated for schizophrenia with risperidone for 10 months. During medication period he had most common side effects of risperidone such as excessive weight gain, slow movement, cognitive & memory issues. Due to those side effects, he couldn't able focus on his work and evidently, he lost the job as a design engineer from his company. He started with 3 mg of risperidone, now he is taking 2 mg risperidone + trihexyphenidyl hydrochloride 2 mg. Still he has same side effects of tablets, so Is there any possible methods to getting out of side effects like reducing risperidone composition into 1 mg or 0.5 mg?
