Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this - 1) Do a clinical examination by your Doctor[gastroenterologist) and do few investigations like (colonoscopy, anorectal manometry ,and colonic transit study] to confirm exact cause and treatment plan. 2) Increase your fiber intake. Adding fiber to your diet increases the weight of your stool and speeds its passage through your intestines. Slowly begin to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables each day. Choose whole-grain breads and cereals. 3) Do exercise most days of the week. Physical activity increases muscle activity in your intestines. Try to fit in exercise most days of the week. 4) Don't ignore the urge to have a bowel movement. Take your time in the bathroom, allowing yourself enough time to have a bowel movement without distractions and without feeling rushed. 5) You can take (OTC) stool softener like (CREMAFFIN PLUS) 15 ml at bedtime and drink 10 glasses of water every day. Hope that helps.
